Most of us spend many years living in denial and avoiding our truth. The idea of "healing" our wounds sounds more unpleasant than a root canal. We spend our lives distracting ourselves from what we fear the most in the hopes that we can avoid the pain. No matter how many red flags or mini wake up calls we get, we often don't do anything until we reach a point of desperation. Healing is a vital component to living a joy filled life. If we are unwilling to look at our core wounds then they will continue to dictate our lives from an subconscious level. Awareness is key, but not the answer. We must be willing to do the deeper work in order to see what our wounds are trying to teach us.
