Hello humans! Welcome to This Hive Howls, a podcast about motherhood, parenting and the mental health struggles the world seems to want to keep quiet. I’m your host, Julie B, a mom of two, an educator, an interior designer, and the author of the blog This Hive.
In this weeks episode I'm talking about my awful experience with the breast is best culture and how it made my births for my two children even more traumatic than they were. It is a triggering topic for many, so there's some content warning concerning traumatic births; if you're dealing with any post partum depression, please reach out to a professional.
I hope to see more resources around breast is best vs fed is best. My stance is that a fed baby is the best option, with the approval of doctors of course.
