Creating Godly Expectation part 3
The preparation to anticipation leads to Godly expectation.
Four reasons why we don’t expect God to do big things in our lives.
1. We complicate God.
Instead of simple obedience we allow Satan's lies to complicate our faith.
2. We don’t have the knowledge of who God is.
God is a Father first.
Psalm 103:13 NLT
Matthew 6:25-30 NLT
patḗr – father; one who imparts life and is committed to it.
pa; nourisher, protector, upholder.
Fail to uphold; to desert (abandon), especially what has already been trusted or embraced.
3. We feel we don’t deserve to live in God’s blessing.
Romans 4:6-8 NIV
When we don’t believe our sins are no more, it restricts or stops us from believing for more.
4. We have prayed prayers that God did not answer.
Five reasons why God might not be answering your prayers:
Psalm 66:17-19 NLT
1 Peter 3:7 NLT
Perseverance and Patience is important to us maturing in our trust in God.
James 1:5-8 NLT
Psalm 34:9-11 NLT
