In today’s modern life junk food has become a big part of children’s diet. Junk food means those food that look attractive,taste delicious but are not for healthy. For example-burger,pizza,french fries,cakes,biscuits and soft drinks. These are easily available and very popular to children.firstly childen like junk food because of It's amazing taste.
Thirdly junk food is easily available everywhere.Almost every school, park or roadside has vendors selling it.Since parents are often busy, they sometimes buy readymade snacks for their child.This make Children more used to eating junk food regularly.Another important reason is peer influence. When a child sees friends eating pizza or birgers they also want the same food.In this way group habits encourage junk food eating.
However this attraction is harmful to health. Junk food lack important vitamins, minerals and proteins. Instead it contains a high amount of fat,sugar,and salt which can cause obesity, tooth problems, indigestion and in the long run even diabetes or heart disease.
Therefore , while children’s love for junk food is understandable, It is very important to guide them.Parents can make healthy food more interesting at home.
