In this episode, I’m joined by a past professor of mine, Dr. Chris Frazer. Chris specializes in History and Latin American Studies, but they’re also a queer, trans, non-binary, communist drag queen. In our conversation, Chris reflects on their sexuality, now being in their sixties. Struggling with queerness in youth, they left their hometown to find groups who accepted; communists and feminists. While leading the Canadian Communist Party, Chris’s partner became pregnant. They discuss how queerness and drag influence their parenting, how their queerness has evolved with age, and why being slutty is a weapon to the patriarchy.
