When it comes to history there are sometimes decades where nothing happens and other times there are weeks where decades happen. Well a few decades of history transpired over the last week and a half. An attempt was made on Donald Trump's life which lead to a cornucopia of theories to emerge as to what happened. Most importantly, this lead to many on the left opening wishing the shooter had hit his target. Next the RNC took a significant turn towards secularism by allowing a Sikh prayer on stage as well as hosting Amber Rose, the founder of Slutwalk as a prominent speaker. Finally, Biden officially dropped out of his campaign for reelection over the weekend leaving Kamala Harris as the presumed Democrat nominee. During all of this evangelicals have provided a variety of responses to the unfolding events. Many of these responses are bad, but some our just down right hideous, which begs the question: Why do evangelical Christians suck at politics? On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will attempt to answer that very question.
