A question that rises up out of the gospel reading, and lingers in the back of our minds. Why must death be the way we know Christ? Why cannot Jesus eliminate death after destroying it on the cross? The answers are distant and beyond reach. However, in our sadness, doubt and anger, Jesus listens. And responds with his presence. John 11.32-44
