Hello humans! Welcome to This Hive Howls, a podcast about motherhood, parenting and the mental health struggles the world seems to want to keep quiet. I’m your host, Julie B, a mom of two, an educator, an interior designer, and the author of the blog This Hive.
In todays episode I talk a bit about why I wanted to start a podcast as a stay at home mom and what my goals and aspirations are for the community I hope to build here with you. I also talk about who I am and some of my struggles with mental health, topics that I will elaborate on in future episodes. I hope you find comfort in my stories and feel like you're finding your purpose in motherhood; let's go on this journey together!
Join me each week as I howl from … not the rooftop but the safety of my home, about my personal struggles with mental health and how it affects how I parent not only myself, but my kids. We will delve into topics like identity, anger and rage, post part depression, societal standards of motherhood and what it truly means to be a parent.
