Why did Jesus come? That He Might Reveal God the Father - John 17:6
The Gospel of John records Jesus high priestly prayer in John 17 and indicates in part the mission of Jesus. John 17:6 says that Jesus manifested or revealed God the Father. Part of Christ's purpose on earth was to reveal who God was. God is revealed by Christ, by His Word, and by His people.
