Cause and effect. This concept is behind all detective work and science
theory. We see a result and we look for the cause. Many times the
mystery comes from the difficulty of identifying the correct reasons for
what we’re observing. In life, when trouble or suffering comes our
way, we tend to do the same thing. We look at the circumstances and we
try to come up with the source of our pain. Sometimes we believe it is
evidence that God doesn’t care about us or that He is angry with us. As
Jesus heals a blind man, this question comes up. Let’s look at Jesus’
answer to His disciples about why this man was born blind. And let’s
take a bigger look at this concept in the Scriptures for our lives.
