...By dismantling checks to Presidential Power, destroying political norms that we've operated by for over 200 years, and by constantly lying every time there's a microphone in front of him, Trump has dramatically expanded the amount of power that the American presidency contains.  Now, future presidents have a playbook for exactly how to dismantle the government and reassemble it into a machine that can give them whatever they want. Why is that bad?

Think about it this way: what if the next president to drastically exceed the power of his or her own office is a Democrat?  Trump has supplied the playbook for how to do that to every future president.
