The Sports trifecta of accolades are as follows:

1. An Olympic gold medal
2. A National championship
3. An individual player of the year award

One of the guests has pretty much a clean sweep at different stages and both of them have a long history of not only coming into the same program at the same time under the same coach but also can attest to the personal growth and character development as good friends.  In track individual accolades trump team ones and there is the smallest margin for error than in ANY other sport.
