How many of us, especially as we age, just let things pile up? Do we somehow believe that problems are just supposed to start occuring in our 50s? In our 60s? That it's just the way it is?
I had originally created this episode with a long list of all of the things that I had personally allowed to accumulate. Meaning, all of the small physical issues that I had just ignored because they were supposed to happen as we all got older. A whole stockpile of mental and emotional ones as well.
And as I was doing the edit, I couldn't even finish it. It was so ... whiny and depressing. A solid five minutes of this is wrong, and that is wrong. Oh me, oh my. Which was the exact opposite of what I was trying to accomplish with the show. I guess I was in a woe is me mood when I originally scripted it.
What I was apparently doing was trying to use age as an excuse for procrastination. Which may or not be true. But let's skip past all of the things that I've personally let slide, and all of my excuses, and get right into some motivation and understanding. Some self-improvement. Some goal seeking. OK?
