Why do I need the prayers of others?
God’s design
Examples of Jesus; Paul (Matthew 26; Luke 22; 2 Corinthians 1:8-11)
“Then Came Amalek!” (Exodus 17:8)
Who/what is Amalek?
Outward Attacks: i.e. sickness; relationship brokenness; financial destruction; injuries; etc.
Inward Enemies: fear; anger; rejection; lust; greed; retribution; control; manipulation; etc.
“The Weapon of the Lord”
The “rod” …. The surrender of self-striving; the ignorance of “coping mechanism” (Exodus 17:9)
What if God wants to use something I/you have been controlling?
