Why Do We Think of the Brain as a Computer? (w/ Danielle J. Williams)
Dr Danielle J. Williams is a philosopher of mind, cognitive science, neuroscience, and AI, as well as a historian of cognitive science and AI. She is an incoming Bersoff Faculty Fellow at NYU, affiliated with the Centre for Mind, Brain, & Consciousness, and will join the Philosophy Department at The Ohio State University as an Assistant Professor in Autumn 2027. As a philosopher of AI, Dr Williams writes about the black box problem and mechanistic interpretability, and, as a historian, she is currently working on her first book project, Constructing the Computational Brain.
