The question is not as hard to answer as it might seem at first. But that does not mean the answer is simple or easy to accept. No answer is going to be satisfactory, nor should it be. Written from a distinctly Christian worldview and for those who believe in the God of the Bible, I will give you an answer that is at the same time logical, Biblical, gospel-centric, helpful... and not able to make the fact or sight of suffering any easier to swallow!
