Why does God call women to submit? PART 2 | From a Biblical perspective and thoughts from an ex-feminist and a born-again Christian | Rediscovering Biblical Femininity
Hey, my sister in Christ!
Have you been wanting to submit to Christ as a woman but you don't really know how to apply the Biblical principles described in Scripture to your own life? Especially in a world, where Biblical characteristics of a godly woman is frowned upon?
In this episode of Rediscovering Biblical Femininity, I discuss how to apply submission to your own lives using Christ as the best example of submission. I discuss how to submit to our husbands and to Christ in three areas of our lives as saved women: In marriage, in adornment and in teaching the younger women.
I discuss my experiences of submitting to Christ in these areas and how at first I did not want to but then, God being gracious showed me the beauty of submission, in marriage, in adornment, and in teaching the younger women to be godly women.
I discuss an example in the New Testament that describes the blessings of submission. I look at Matthew 15:21-28 and how submitting to the authority of Christ brings freedom through the story of the faith of a Canaanite woman. I also discuss what happens when we are not submitted to the authority of Christ. Using the story of Lot's wife, I talk about how we as Christian women can turn as bitter as salt.
