Philosophers have discovered that mankind tends to universally resist imagining fictional narratives that are morally reprehensible. Why is this, they wonder? The believer knows that God has instilled a conscience into humans, and believers or not, we tend not to accept fiction that crosses the line. This puzzle to philosophers is called "imaginative resistance" and in this episode I explore what that is and how the conscience works.
