Not marking significant life change with ceremony and celebration devalues our dignity.

    Why does SouthPoint baptize people?

    What is baptism?

Baptism is a public and outward symbol of an inward decision to surrender to Jesus.

Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. Romans 6:3-4

And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Romans 6:3-4

Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” Mark 3:13-14

But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him. Mark 3:15

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

    2. Said “yes” but haven’t been baptized.

    3. You were baptized “younger” but didn’t choose/understand.

    4. You’ve believed and were baptized
