Sometimes in the midst of a conflict, we accommodate the other person and give them what they want. We tell ourselves that it is the loving, humble thing to do, which might be true. However, sometimes after we have accommodated another person in the midst of conflict, we find ourselves angry or grumbling about the outcome. This is a strong indication that we lied to ourselves and avoided speaking up for the wrong reasons.
