In the US Doulas are really on the rise and it has a lot to do with the high maternal mortality rate that the US has to deal with. Because of the lack of pre and postnatal care there are a lot of women and birthing people dying. That’s one of the reasons why more and more people turn to Doulas for extra help and guidance!
