“WHY?” If you’ve had (or have) a 3-year-old in your life, you’ve heard “Why?” a LOT. “Why?” is among a toddler’s favorite words. And after we’ve heard those incessant “whys” all day long, most of us end up falling back on the response our parents used on us: “Because I said so!”

But we don’t leave “Why?” behind when we lose our first tooth or start middle school or leave home for college or get married. Life, especially a life with God, just seems to make us ask, “Why?” Why do people suffer? Why does a loving God allow evil to exist? Why do some survive a tragic accident and some don’t? Why doesn’t God fix this mess?

This Sunday we’ll explore some of these “Why?” questions as part of our “Got Questions?” sermon series. And while we can’t possibly answer every one of our “Whys” in one Sunday morning hour, we’ll turn to biblical and theological resources for guidance in living with our “Whys.” So WHY NOT bring your “Whys” to church with you this Sunday? God won’t mind!
