If you're like us, you're spending the July 4th holiday onboard a fast cigarette boat, cruising around the marina, daring the police to catch you and yelling over a megaphone, "you'll never take me alive!" No? Just us?

Anyway, here's a special episode of Why? for you to listen to while you grill weenies and/or remove a few digits with firecrackers. We talked with Jill Whelan, better known to you and me as Vicki Stubing, daughter of the captain of the Love Boat. (You may also know Jill from her role in the classic film Airplane! (Jill's the sick girl whose IV keeps getting knocked out by an overzealous singing nun.)

We talked with Jill about hanging out with Andy Warhol, Joan Crawford and Dick van Dyke. Of course, we couldn't let our conversation go by without mentioning one of our shared best friends, Ted Lange.
