Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront showed what riverfront development can do when a city chooses to restore pride instead of ignoring its river.

India does not just need smart cities.

India needs cities that respect water, nature, public space and urban identity.

A tourism opportunity.

A public health priority.

And the soul of a city.

A city that ignores its river eventually loses its soul.
