Why Every Kid Should Learn to Code

In this episode I talk about why I think every kid should learn to code and why I think it should be a mandatory class in the school system.

This topic is something I am very passionate about and is one of the reasons I teach programming on my YouTube channel as well as at a summer camp. For the past two years I have taught the basics of python to children ages (9-15) and it has opened my eyes to effects of the education system. In today's world kids are NOT taught to think. They are simply told to memorize formulas and recite information and have a serious lack of problem solving and critical thinking skills. In this podcast I go through very specific examples of this and talk about why programming teaches this ever so important skill, thinking.
