James Maberly is an Artist, a Social Entrepreneur and a Writer. Born in Kenya and brought up in Zimbabwe, he served in the British army, worked in Africa then moved to the UK to pursue a career in art. James reached a point when he realized he was making art to suit the market rather than to express his spirit. He recognised that he was too tied to convention, too stuck in a ‘traditional’ mind-set, following rules and guidelines that restricted his progress. As he began to change the rules, so he began to see how so many others were caught in the same trap. He decided to write about it in his new book, “Why Follow Rules? Trust your Intuition.”
