"If your body resists forgiving, it isn't because you are 'un-spiritual'—it’s because your soul is refusing to participate in self-betrayal."We have been taught that forgiveness is a performance of the "bigger person," a way to minimize the hurt so we can maintain the peace. But true forgiveness is not a weapon to be used against yourself. In this pondering, we explore why forgiveness feels so impossibly hard and why "Forgive and Forget" is often just a form of spiritual bypassing that deepens our own wounding.Moving beyond the pressure to be "over it," we look at forgiveness as a slow, honest form of internal sovereignty. This isn't about the person who hurt you; it's about the part of you that needs to feel safe again. This episode explores:
  • The Shadow of Forgiveness: Why the rush to forgive is often a rush to self-abandonment.
  • Somatic Resistance: Listening to why your body won't let you forgive before you feel safe.
  • Beyond the "Bigger Person": Moving from social performance to genuine spiritual integrity.
  • The Role of Anger and Grief: Why you cannot bypass the fire to get to the peace.
This is an invitation to stop using forgiveness as a tool of oppression and start seeing it as a byproduct of your own wholeness.
