Many of my own friends and people in my circle were convinced that Trump was going to lose because they “couldn’t imagine why anyone would vote for him,” especially if they voted for Clinton or Biden previously. The answer as to why Harris lost lies in the fact that they had to imagine anything to begin with because they refused to earnestly engage with anyone who might’ve voted for him.
