Saudi Arabia and the UAE have reached new milestones as two of the largest economies in the Middle East look to join a list of global powers boasting nuclear energy capabilities.

This comes after the foundation stone for the research reactor was put down at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology on 5 November.
Meanwhile, an important construction benchmark was achieved at the UAE’s Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant after concrete work and heavy equipment lifting were completed by the teams on site.
