Why having a good heart isn’t enough

Listen Later

Do you feel like being a good person is good nowadays?

For decades I had the belief that if you are good you will suffer, that you will be broke, that you will be taken advantage of.

So many times as a teenager I was praying and wishing that I could be more of a witch, mean girls seemed to have their lives easier and hearts less broken.

That led me into building my walls up. UP so no one can hurt me again, but also not to see me and judge me.

My beloved grandma was also reinforcing this belief by saying I am too good with men, that I do whatever they want, that I am too loving, too kind, and that they will take me for granted.

ALL those things were true for me because I believed that.

Until I got tired of trying different than I really was.

I declared that my people will love me for me, and my man, the right man for me will cherish me for how loving, nurturing, and generous I am and then my life changed.

SO, so much!

I learned that having a good heart is my way to live AND also that people with a good heart can be successful, rich, loving and giving.

Now that I know I can have a good heart and live a fulfilling rich life I also know that that’s not all.

Having a good heart and being poor won’t help me help others.

As @abrahamhicks says: You can’t get sick enough to help sick people, you can’t get poor enough to help poor people.

It is our responsibility to have a good heart AND create abundance for ourselves so we can serve causes that we deeply believe in.

Even @chriswharder is teaching about how good people get to make good money so they can create great things in the world.

Imagine a world where good-hearted people are really rich and invest in great causes so we can make this world really a better place.

As my rich self, I am investing in animal sanctuaries so they are loved and fed, and into kids' education in Bali and into wellness homes for seniors so they don’t leave this world alone and forced into medications and shots they don't want (like my grandma was).

I see a better world for you and me and those around us.

Can you see it?

What is your rich self investing in?
