Human rights are an absurd notion if one is an atheist, and they are inconsistent with Scripture. Human rights appear to be a good will gesture, a gift to the unfortunate from the privileged. In fact human rights serve as a claim on the resources held by the West. It is a claim that cannot be debated, rescinded or modified. Not everyone pays, but everyone benefits.
