On the first day of 2023, around 60,000 passengers all over the country were experiencing problems with their flights, both inbound and outbound. All airports in the country were packed with stranded passengers waiting for their flights, due to a technical problem encountered by the Air Traffic Management Center. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) admitted that their equipments are outdated and should be upgraded to cope up with the required equipment for safe and secure air traffic.
