Don’t get it twisted, I love my privacy and I love having/being my own influence, however, it became difficult to put myself out there/open up over the years feeling as though I should be ashamed of myself and/or be afraid to shine my light/be due to countless disappointments and ignorance.

I realized that I just want to be able to feel as though I can be myself, be comfortable, safe, loved, cherished, celebrated, valued, accepted, and deserving/worthy rather than feeling as though I should avoid being me (not showing myself), dim my light, and/or play small and unimportant just to avoid bullshit. AGAIN, I will always show up for myself first and foremost (because I don’t run off external gratification primarily), however, I’m doing myself a great disservice not allowing myself to unapologetically BE in the process.
