That’s right. Perhaps the biggest change I’ve made over the past few months is that I have switched to a vegan lifestyle. My choice to go vegan was initially based on my health. I had started to find all kinds of research supporting the fact that my body might have a better chance of healing itself if I took all animal products out of my life.

Naturally, I started to do a whole lot of reading and YouTube-watching about the vegan way of eating and living. On my 4th day as a vegan, I stumbled across this speech on YouTube given by Gary Yourofsky:

I watched all 1 hour and 10 minutes of his talk, AND the 30-minute Q & A that followed (see below), and I was 100% sold. For life. I’m in.

In today’s episode I share a little bit about why I decided to go vegan and what about Gary’s speech convinced me to stay vegan, and commit to it for life. In the 5 episodes following this one, I will actually recite Gary’s entire speech. I’m doing this especially for those of you who simply don’t have time to watch a 1-hour long YouTube video.

Huge thanks for Laura Marie of lauramarietv.com for taking the time to transcribe Gary’s brilliant speech.

My #1 goal in all of this, is to begin a conversation with you. The conversation begins with a specific invitation from me to you. I invite you to at least consider moving to a vegan lifestyle. Through Gary’s speech I will lay out all of the reasons WHY I believe this is important in the coming 5 episodes.

I would love to hear your thought process through this entire series. Email me your comments, questions, arguments, rebuttals and concerns. Reach me directly at [email protected]. I can’t wait to hear from you.
