In this episode, we talk honestly about what it means to outgrow a city you still deeply love. About the moment when your environment no longer matches your frequency—and listening to that shift without guilt.

We reflect on growing up as first-generation Dominican women in New York, watching hip hop unfold in our neighborhoods, surviving the 80s and 90s, and living fully through the club era of the 2000s and 2010s. We also unpack how immigrant parents teach us lessons about resilience, freedom, and self-determination—often without ever saying a word.

This is a conversation about identity, autonomy, and choosing yourself without erasing where you come from. We talk about choosing fresh air, sunshine, and slower living without shame, and why returning to New York as a visitor can feel just as meaningful as living there once did.

New York will always be home. But home can also evolve.
