I was like many of us today, a social media addict. Yes I consider the Facebooks and Instagrams to be addictive. Why wouldn’t I? They are structured to deploy the same appeal as a slot machine, pull the lever and hope to win! Cal Newport was the beginning of why I really even had the thought, watching one of his interviews about “Digital Minimalism”. The key takeaway for me was when he asked us, the audience, to think of what VALUE each application held or added to our lives. Got me thinking, then I watched an interview with Tristan Harris where he’s basically exposing these applications for their designs and flaws.
