Today, I share why I’ve “changed” my name. I’ve chosen to go back to FolaJimi because it means something “God has given me honor”.

As a teenager, I change it to Jimi because I wanted something acceptable to other people and please others. As I got older, I found I made I was making a lot decisions about my appearance and even careers because I wanted to make other people comfortable and accessible.

This is part of the reason I’ve created this podcast and community to help women become radically honest about who they are and what they want.

I want to encourage you to be radically honest about what you want with the little things and the big things. Understanding how you can take the steps to be the truest version of yourself. Where else in your career or life have you put on a mask or done what everyone else has asked you to do? Are you happy doing what people say you're supposed to do, the way they want you to?
