In a very personal episode of At The Barre (and our final for 2022), today I’m revealing what lead to my decision to sell my dance studio after 17 years. The process of making such a huge change the lives of my family and I certainly didn’t come easily or quickly for me so I’m sharing all the factors that went into the decision-making process and why, ultimately, it lead to me handing over the studio to a new owner. I also reveal why I’m completely at peace with my decision depisite my studio forming such a huge part of who I was for 17 years. It’s my hope this episode might shed some light on what can be a very emotional decision for studio owners and, if selling is something you’re considering, how to navigate all the feelings that come with it.
