I'm about to celebrate my 32nd year of working in a corporate environment 🎉

Usually the anniversary of when I started work inspires me to share the lessons I’ve learned over the years or my strategies for thriving in corporate. This year though, I’m feeling compelled to defend our choice to work in corporate.

Lately I've been hearing more and more talk about why we should all be trying to get out of corporate, but to me the discussion feels very one sided.

Now, I know there's bullying, burnout and bitchiness (I coach on these things every day), but like everything in life there is a spectrum in corporate and it's not all bad.

The 6 reasons that I'm talking about today that make the corporate environment a great place for me to work are:

1. I get to lead and coach every single day
2. I have a steady and stable income
3. I get the chance to experiment - often
4. I have the opportunity to regularly reinvent myself
5. I've made the best friends a woman could have
6. I have so much fun
