A few years ago, I stopped “putting others before myself” like I was taught.
I found myself in a place where
I was physically and mentally exhausted
I was full of RESENTMENT
I never had enough time
I felt low mood a LOT
I felt like a victim to others and God
Other Christian women and good coaches showed me that I was completely twisting Scripture when I thought that “putting others before myself” meant that:
1. I couldn’t/shouldn’t say no
2. I needed to keep other people calm/happy
But bravo to the enemy for convincing us it was!
