Hey everyone! In this special episode of "Mixed Feelings," I sit down with one of my best friends, Leia Felicilda. Leia is half Hawaiian Native Pacific Islander, and this is a milestone for the podcast—it’s the first time I’m chatting with someone who isn’t mixed with black and white.

Leia’s perspective was a revelation for me. Even though our backgrounds are different, our experiences growing up in predominantly white spaces felt eerily similar. It was incredible to see how much we had in common, and it just goes to show that many biracial kids face the same challenges and joys, no matter their specific ethnic mix.
