Every now and then sex tapes or compromising pictures of a celebrity or politician find their way to the public domain and cause a bit of a stir. Often, these celebrities or politicians have to issue statements and public apologies. With the exception of sexual acts performed in public (as there's no reasonable expectation of privacy there) why should two or three consenting adults be ashamed of being sexually active?
