Welcome to Pod Spam. Spamming the Blockchain one Episode at a Time. This is your host @tpkidkai for today's content we will talk about why it is hard to start at something.
May it be blogging, learning a new hobby, and exercising more often than not we tend to stop for a while. Ponder and then forget about the plan.
We tend to act within our comfort zone. Each time that we try to do something that is not within the normal program that we have, our brain will send signals to either delay the process or stop it. Also when we are in our comfort zone, we feel safe and no one's gonna harm us in that space.
We also emphasize the idea that everything should be perfect on the first try. We are more scared to look like a fool if we fail in our attempts.
At times when we think about expectations, we give 2 expectations. The first one is our own expectation about our work and the second is how the world expects something from us. When we plan, more often than not our expectation is equaled to the world expectation but truth be told, the world isn't expecting that much from us especially you are new no one will even care perhaps.
We are also distracted about the end product, we can only see the struggles that we may face while doing it, the reception of other people, and positive feedback from them. When we start especially on the creative side we are allowing people to criticize our work maybe they wouldn't like what they read, saw, or heard we always focus on the negatives.
Now how can we fix this?
Start small. I would always remember the plan of getting fit by going to a gym. Never happened for the past years however, I am trying to do some basic exercise like running and walking now. As you try to build a habit you will be able to do more in the future. According to what I read, before you can create a habit you need to do it for 21 days straight, and to further evolve to a lifestyle you need to do it for 90 days. One great example that I can use is my manga reading at times I will find myself typing the manga website on my phone each time that I am not doing anything. Been reading manga for more than years and I think I already built a lifestyle because of that.
Jot down your plans on a piece of paper. Categorize which is important that needs to have a deadline and which are the ones that are just there because they are there.
Allow yourself to be a beginner that learns the ropes of everything.
Lastly, try to enjoy everything and let go of your fears. You don't want to have regrets in the future saying "what if I tried doing such right?"
Conclusion:
Doing something that is not within our sphere is truly frightening however, we need such to grow if you fail at least you tried. In that way when you start over again you will have the experience to do more amazing things in life. You have to start with what you have and what you know.
I believe in you, you are doing great each day!
Till next time, this is @tpkidkai sharing some nonsense talks here in the blockchain.
