There is a catch phrase called “journey to zero.” It means a company’s dedication to zero lost time claims. That somehow this means they are safe. In this disruptive episode, I challenge the thought that lost time claims should be used as a measure of health and safety. More importantly, I discuss a better way to manage WCB lost time claims while ACTUALLY become more safe as a company.
