Religion is all about "doing" and hoping that it's enough. Religion is about doing external things trying to affect the interior. The best description for Jesus is "done". The work is finished and when we receive that finished work, it changes the inside which works its way to the exterior. The work done on the cross brought forgiveness of sin; the resurrection work broke the power of sin. Why do we keep striving to do when the work has been done?
