WHY LOVING YOU ISN'T EASY

Loving people sounds spiritual — until they disappoint you, misunderstand you, trigger you, or test you. That’s when love stops being a feeling and becomes a decision. We talk about love like it’s chemistry or comfort, but real love — the kind Scripture calls us to — is disciplined. It’s choosing patience when your ego wants to react, restraint when you want to be right, and grace when someone doesn’t deserve it. Loving people isn’t about how easy they are to love. It’s about who you are becoming.

In this episode, we unpack why love is a choice, not a mood; the difference between emotional reaction and spiritual maturity; and why discipline is the evidence of real love. You don’t prove love when it’s convenient — you prove it when it costs you something. Anyone can love people who agree with them. But can you love without applause? Without control? If God is love, then loving people isn’t optional — it’s alignment. The real question isn’t, “Are they easy to love?” It’s, “Am I disciplined enough to love anyway?”
