Of the many pain points present throughout 2020, one that struck close to the heart for many was the sudden loss of social support through acquaintances and close friends. Meeting new people over video calls revealed a question most of us don't think we need to answer post-high school: "is this person my friend?" Many individuals have shared their stories of being lonely and unsure of friendship during this time, and it shines a light on the struggle of ensuring we have human connection through virtual communications. In this episode, we want to share a conversation centered around how we can adapt our behavior to promote building friendships despite the distance, so that at the minimum we can be sensitive and aware of how some may be struggling with remote work, and hopefully help foster the growth of a friendly digital community.
