STOCKS TO WATCH: $WMT $FDX $MANU $ALLO $SOFO

Walmart (WMT) - A play on the consumer. Data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics Tuesday morning showed inflation continued to ease off recent highs. The consumer price index (CPI) showed a 0.1% increase in consumer prices from April to May and a 4% increase on a year-over-year basis.

 

FedEx (FDX) - The company will report quarterly results on Tuesday of next week.

 

Manchester United (MANU) - Shares were up about 10% Tuesday morning following a rumor Qatari investors have been successful in a bid for Manchester United.

 

Allogene Therapeutics (ALLO) - A play on an upcoming FDA-related news catalyst. The International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma takes place this week. Allogene is expected to present results from several different lymphoma-related trials by June 15th.

 

Sonic Foundry (SOFO) - One of Tuesday morning's biggest gainers. Shares were up nearly 50% seemingly on no news. The issue is a low-float play with about 7 million shares in its float.
