**Pastor Seun Osigbesan** teaches on **"Why Marriages fail"** as part of a series on **Relationship and Marriage Goals.**

**WHY MARRIAGES FAIL:**

1. Wrong choice: The reality is that some people have no business getting married to each other but sometimes they ignore all the negative signals showing them they are not meant for each other, they proceed with the marriage and consequently start having issues which will lead to their separation or divorce.

2. Unrealistic expectations: Marriages fail when the husband or the wife have unrealistic expectations about the role or function of their spouse. There are some men who have a mindset that the moment they get married there will be no need to do house chores because their wife will take care of every of the house chores likewise there are some women whose idea of marriage is for their husband to serve them 'breakfast in bed ' every morning. If expectations are not well managed in a marriage it can eventually ruin the marriage.

3. Sexual dissatisfaction: Husbands and wives must communicate their sexual needs and not shy away from having such conversations. One of your roles as a wife or husband is to satisfy the sexual needs of your spouse.
