Modern spirituality has replaced the search for objective reality with a "choose-your-own-adventure" model where individuals prioritize personal preference over universal truth. This shift creates psychological artifacts, which are essentially ego-driven coping mechanisms tailored to fit one’s temperament rather than the unyielding nature of the divine. When we label these subjective narratives as "my truth," we treat insights like intellectual property to be defended, effectively bending our perception to protect our identities from correction. To escape this self-referential loop and reach the invariant sacred, one must move toward impersonality through traditional pillars like silence and lineage. Ultimately, the text argues that true spiritual contact requires the reduction of the self to align with a reality that remains constant regardless of human comfort or convenience.
